Congratulations - MGMT - Congratulations (2010, Columbia)

It’s taken me almost four months to decide, but I think I can now quite surely say that MGMT’s Congratulations is my favourite track from 2010. There are so many things I love about it: the simple, yet perfectly suited bass line; the lyrics, which are just on the understandable side of poetically inane; the auto-harp solos… It’s just a really awesome track. Also, check out Erol Alkan’s superb rework of the song.
